Alpha 120 Hoodie

My husband has been touting the Alpha Direct products for a few years now. I finally caved and purchased an Alpha 90 hoodie (from Senchi Designs). And I really do appreciate the versatility of the Alpha Direct fabric for it's breathability to warmth to weight ratio. With an upcoming climb of Kilimanjaro, I knew I wanted to get a heavier weight alpha hoodie. SAMBOB was one of the few I could find who sold a 120 hoodie. I love that I could create a customized product, which was pretty easy through their website. I chose all-black, though I do appreciate the color options available and was tempted to mix things up. I was even able to alter the sizing to combine a smaller torso size with longer arm lengths so I can "tuck" my fingers inside in the cold :) My new hoodie arrived within the given 4-6 week timeline (closer to 4 than 6 - thank you!); it's the perfect addition to my layering system for colder temps and higher altitudes. I can wear it alone, over a wool base layer, even on top of my Alpha 90. With the oversize hood, I can tuck it over my hair bun and not feel stifled but still cozy. I highly recommend the SAMBOB Alpha 120 hoodie if you're looking for a warmer version of an Alpha hoodie for colder temps. I don’t know how this thing works but it does. Let’s just enough sweat and heat out but allows you to stay warm. Use it as a sleeping layer and as added warmth when the temperature dips.
