Basin Sun Hoodie

The Basin Sun Hoodie is for those looking for feather-light sun protection. We love this fabric for its weight, for resistance and extremely lightness. Though quite delicate due to its ultralight properties, this hoodie can last a full thru-hike and more, as demonstrated in the prototyping stage last year! 

Use case and fit: These hoodies are ideal for keeping the sun off in the heat of the summer when you’d like to feel like you’re wearing nothing at all! They feature a deep hood, casual fit, and four distinct colorways.

Fabric tech: The Basin Sun Hoodie is made from an ultralight version of Polartec© Delta™ fabric, which provides UPF 15 sun protection (blocking 93% of UV rays) and is designed to keep you cool by dispersing moisture away from the skin, improving breathability and minimizing cling from sweat. It is essentially a fine mesh, allowing for air to pass through easily. Of course this also means it’s a bit less protective than the Coastal and Alpine Sun Hoodies, as they use heavier, more robust fabrics. 

Hoodie care: Wash cold and hang dry.

Fabric content: 52% polyester, 44% lyocell, 4% spandex
