The SAMBOB Octa hoodies are made from a unique ultralight fabric made by Teijin (based in Japan). With a brushed fleece interior face and a flat mesh exterior face, this fabric stands to rival Polartec Alpha in its warmth to weight ratio, while also proving to be more durable against snags and tears.
This fabric is semi-transparent and extremely non-wind resistant, but acts as a perfect active layer fabric.
Weight: Wide Medium weighs 4.6oz, Narrow Medium weighs 4.2oz

I bought my Octa at AT Trail Days in May. Months into usage, I am impressed with it's function and love the colors. It weighs nothing and packs down so small.
I chose this business to get my ultralight midlayer from bevause ive heard great thjngs about their products and i like their messaging and ethics, and i have to say this is ny new favorite midlayer and i had one of my best customer service experiences with this product! My order was affected by inventory issues, ans the they reached out to me to figure out a solution, it felt so nice to communicate with them directly and get that more personal connection. I am so happy with my hoodie, its incredibly warm, so ridiculousky lightweight, and this octa fabric feels more durable and snag resistant than the typical alpha. The fit is cozy and not overly tight and the colors are unique and fun. Im so so happy with it. Im absolutely stoked to take it on backpacking trips, thrus, and multipitches to come!
