Alpha 90 hoodies are a cozy, high performance layer you shouldn't go without when you need a layer on the go! And these have zips for extra ventilation when needed!
This weight of Alpha is our midweight option, great for summer and fall hikes, runs or climbing sessions. You will not be disappointed by the warmth to weight ratio of these (~4oz), and the unbeatable softness of this fabric!
This is an inherently delicate fabric and must be treated as such! It will snag easily, so keep it away from Velcro, dog claws, and definitely don’t bushwhack in it!

The zip hoodie was my go-to warm layer for a weeklong early season romp through Capitol Reef National Park. It kept me warm and cozy at night in my tent and was the perfect outer layer over my sun hoodie during the day when deep in the canyons where little sun reaches. The large zip opening makes it easy to add or remove from your layering system, as long as you keep it away from any Velcro in your pack setup. Being as we were in the desert before the onset of monsoon season, it didn’t get wet so I can’t comment on the dry time. But I’m sure it’s pretty quick with a nice breeze. When washing at home I make sure to put it in a separate mesh bag to it won’t snag on another item of clothing, zippers or Velcro or whatnot. Overall impressed and plan on making this a part of any cool/cold weather layer system when high exertion is on the itinerary.
