WE MESSED UP! We inverted the fabric on this batch! These hoodies were sewn with the wrong side of the fabric facing out. They’re still functionally amazing (read below), but do snag very easily because of our mistake. Instead of selling them at full price and expecting returns, we’re being upfront about our mistake and offering a major price cut, but no returns. We’ll remedy this mistake for future batches coming next spring!
Product Description: The (Inverted) Basin Sun Hoodie is for those looking for feather-light sun protection. Though quite delicate (and highly snag prone) due to its Ultralight properties, this hoodie can last a full thru-hike and more, as demonstrated in the prototyping stage this year!
Use case and fit: These hoodies are ideal for keeping the sun off in the heat of the summer when you’d like to feel like you’re wearing nothing at all! They feature a deep hood, casual fit, and four distinct colorways.
Fabric tech: The Basin Sun Hoodie is made from an ultralight version of Polartec© Delta™ fabric, which provides UPF 15 sun protection (blocking 93% of UV rays) and is designed to keep you cool by dispersing moisture away from the skin, improving breathability and minimizing cling from sweat. It is essentially a fine mesh, allowing for air to pass through easily. Of course this also means it’s a bit less protective than the Coastal and Alpine Sun Hoodies, as they use heavier, more robust fabrics.
Hoodie care: Wash cold and hang dry.
Fabric content: 52% polyester, 44% lyocell, 4% spandex
Fabric weight: 3.4 oz/yd² (Wide Large is 6oz)

Love this hoodie! It's been perfect for runs and hikes when it's sunny, in both hot and cold temps. Very light and breathable. As described, it does snag very easily, but under any typical use it's not an issue. I got it wide and would recommend to others who like a bit more breathing room without the bagginess of going a size up. Overall recommend!
Super awesome and comfortable. I have used this a few times for kayaking and it has been great. The inverted doesn't look or feel bad at all. My partner also has one and shelves hers as well.

Very breathable and lightweight. As advertised (greatly appreciate the honesty!), the material does snag quite easily, so I won’t bring it on a thru, but I’ve been loving it for climbing. The hood fits over my helmet and it’s a great light layer that keeps me cool while I’m moving and pretty comfortable while hanging out on a belay ledge
