These hoodies are dope! I have a custom alpha90 Sambob as well as the rainbow octa they are by far my favorite pieces of hiking gear. If only I could keep my wife from stealing my octa!!!!
I absolutely love my rainbow octo hoodie! It makes me so happy, and I couldn't believe how warm it feels for how thin and light it is! The one thing I'd bring up as a caveat is that when I wear it over short sleeves it feels a little bit prickly compared to something like Alpha, but I'm a bit sensitive, and it's not a deal breaker. It's fantastically light and comes in great, vivid colours, so it's definitely going to be something I reach for when I need a medium warmth fleece with very little weight.
Perfect mid layer! So light weight and cozy. Octa material can have a tendency to snag on some things if you’re bushwacking but the fabric hasn’t torn. It’ll be perfect for the backcountry this winter!

I loved the idea of the higher neckline and hood and honestly was slightly disappointed when I received it because I thought, "Gosh, something THIS light can't possibly be warm, shucks." - I was wrong! It is definitely lightweight but super warm. I wear it out to my cabin regularly and have gotten multiple compliments on the colors. It goes in my camping bag anytime we go for an extra layer.
